Money Skills Start Here
Dollars & Dilemmas exists because every teenager deserves to understand how money actually works — before the real costs hit.
Meet Jared Lederman
Jared is a third year student at Cornell University studying Applied Economics & Management, originally from Marblehead, Massachusetts. At Cornell, he is involved with several finance and business organizations.
Jared has been interested in business and financial literacy since he was very young, founding a 3D printing business in elementary school and later a local newspaper. During summer break in college, he worked as a financial analyst intern and a venture capital intern. This coming summer, he'll be joining Susquehanna International Group.
Dollars & Dilemmas was established in 2025 when Jared recognized a severe gap in financial literacy education available to those at a middle school level. Jared recognized the importance of learning money skills at a young age, and wished throughout middle and high school that a course like D&D had existed. Gaining a strong foundation on top of which to build more complex habits is vital, and the earlier this process begins, the better.
